International Journal (Home Economics)
The necessity of the Journal in Home Economics discipline was highly felt to the under-privileged faculty of Home Economics throughout Pakistan, who terribly feel deprived, as limited opportunities are available to them to publish articles in their own respective discipline. Similarly, the college have 22-enrolled M.Phil/Ph.D scholars in Home Economics discipline and 08-scholars from college staff in relevant disciplines at other departments of University of Peshawar. In this regard, the college initiated a step launching an “International Journal of Home Economics”, which was the first Journal of its kind in Pakistan to high light the Home Economics as a unique blend of Art and Science courses within the umbrella of Home Sciences.
Therefore, the college has decided to start off with the assistance of overseas and local faculty members from renounced institution who have offered their services to provide a forum for the rapid dissemination of significant research in various disciplines encompassing the science of Home making.
Journal of Home Economics is planned to be a multidisciplinary international research journal. Research papers and other articles from any field of physical or social sciences having direct or indirect relevance to the betterment of individual, family or community are welcomed. However, any article fulfilling these criteria would ultimately fall within any of the following domains of Home Economics:
1. Art and Design
2. Clothing and Textile
3. Foods and Nutrition
4. Human Development and Family Studies
5. Resource and Facility Management
JHE shall strive to meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence so as to get it approved by the Higher Education Commission in near future.
