Students play the role of backbone of every nation. They determine the future of every society. I personally am a staunch believer that it is only the education which determines the progress of an individual and a nation.
Providing ample opportunities in female education is one of the most fundamental obligations we owe to our students because in University of Peshawar we are driven by the belief that every student deserves high quality education. The College of Home Economics, University of Peshawar is well known throughout Pakistan. It has the privilege of providing education to females students in diverse disciplines. Over a period of time, it has expanded in academic excellence. Today, the college has highly qualified faculty to cater to the demands of the modern world with specific education and skills. Launching M.Phil / Ph.D programme has further broadened its horizons and students can now get higher degrees in their own college. As in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, pursuing higher studies is now no longer a dream for talented females, this college has also provided them a platform to exhibit their skills and achieve their goals
No doubt home economists have stamped their credentials all over. But none of these accomplishments and laurels would have turned into realistic goals, had it not been for the constant encouragement of the highly skilled teaching and non teaching staff of this campus. These endeavors of the teachers enable students to face the hurdles and challenges in practical and professional life.
I hope they continue to progress. I wish them success in future.
